Looking for Homemakers and Companions for the following areas: Greenwich, Stamford, Darien and Norwalk, CT

General Job functions and responsibilities of the personal companion for the elderly :

• Provide 1 on 1 companionship with your client in the comfort of their home
• Prepares meals
• Light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Shopping and running errands
• Companionship and Assistant with service such as helping with hygiene
• Travel may be required
• Shift times, days and activities vary with client’s needs

Nice to have but not necessary :

• 6 months of experience in personal service preferred
• 1-3 years of experience providing support for the elderly

Requirements of the personal Companion for Elderly:

• Experience with those experiencing memory loss preferred but not necessary
• Punctual, Reliable, compassionate and mature companion, sincerely interested in improving the life of those we serve
• Driver’s License preferred but not necessary
• Must be able to life a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to deal with demands of job
• Pass background (Drug and nationwide background check)
• Read write and speak English is needed for this job
• High School graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred
