CareTeam Hero Receives Recognition Award for Bravery and Excellence
On Tuesday, May 15th, 2018, CareTeam member of five years Mireille Prophete came into the office to receive her Recognition Award for Bravery and Excellence for her heroic actions on Friday, May 4th.
Mireille recently saved a family of 8 from a burning home in Lynn, MA while she was caring for her elderly client. She noticed black smoke coming from the home where her client lived and knew she had to act and respond quickly.
Mireille quickly alerted the people inside the home of the danger by banging ferociously on the doors and got everyone out safely. Thanks to Mireille’s actions, no one was hurt.
Mireille brings purpose to her clients’ lives day in and day out while also keeping them safe in their homes. She possesses skill, heart, commitment and determination. Mireille has given so much to her community and to Right at Home. “Mireille’s award is a true testament to the ability of caregivers and office staff we have here at Right at Home Boston and North,” Lyna Hernandez, Care Coordinator Manager said. “We thank you, Mireille for continuing to live out the Right at Home Mission, to improve the quality of life for those we serve and for being an extraordinary and valued member of the team”, said Rosaleen Doherty, Co-Owner of Right at Home Boston and North.
Mireille has been a caregiver with Right at Home Boston and North since 2013. She is a certified supportive home health aide and has an extensive set of skills that she brings to her clients and families every day to help them age in place. She has widespread training in hospice supportive care, and with her extensive knowledge and proficiency, she often works with clients who are at end of life by offering comfort and support.
“Mireille is a truly wonderful caregiver. She always takes her time to get to know her clients and families. She possesses kind, gentle and caring qualities and very giving of herself. If I had to describe her in three words they would be: selfless, courageous and devoted. She is a special CareTeam member because she has a passion for her work and for what she does and truly finds purpose in working with the elderly. It is an honor to have her work for us at Right at Home by providing the RightCare to our clients and families”, said Cindy Currier, Private Care Manager.
