“I have learned that listening and observing are key components when trying to connect with the clients and their family. I have been learning and researching new techniques to stimulate a client or make them feel more comfortable, especially a client with Dementia or physical impairments,” Julie stated.

“I believe It is important to help a client stay as independent as possible, as long as they are doing this safely.  By meeting their social needs and establishing a connection with the clients, this enhances their wellbeing, as well as mine. I love to find ways to make the clients smile; whether it means giving them a foot massage, making cookies with them, or simply doing a puzzle together,” commented Julie.
