Right at Home Belmont Joins Veterans United 2024 Stand Down

On May 18th, Right at Home Belmont proudly participated in the Veterans United 2024 Stand Down event, a day dedicated to supporting our local veterans. Hosted by Camp Centurion and Veterans Bridge Home, the event provided essential services, resources, and a sense of community to veterans across the Carolinas.

A Day of Empowerment and Connection

The Stand Down event was a beacon of hope and fellowship. Veterans were able to connect with numerous service providers offering crucial support—from housing and employment to medical and mental health services. Among the most touching moments was a speech by Rob, a resident who shared his inspiring journey from homelessness to stability. His story was a strong reminder of the importance of community support for veterans.

Right at Home Belmont’s Role

At Right at Home Belmont, we are committed to providing exceptional in-home care tailored to meet the unique needs of veterans. During the event, our team shared information about our services, designed to help veterans maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. From daily living assistance to specialized care for chronic conditions, we strive to be a reliable partner for veterans and their families.

Strengthening Community Ties

Participating in the Veterans United Stand Down allowed us to forge stronger connections with other veteran support organizations. We engaged with groups like Camp Centurion, which offers crucial support to homeless veterans, and Veterans Bridge Home, which provides a wide range of resources and events for the veteran community.

For those interested in getting involved, Camp Centurion welcomes volunteers to join their mission. You can connect with them through their Facebook page or reach out to Director Ken Heavner.

Veterans Bridge Home offers a Calendar of Events and an Assistance Request and Referral Form to help veterans access the support they need.
