Alzheimer's and Dementia Awareness Training

The feedback after the training was continuous. Each certified nurse’s assistant had something positive to say about what they just learned and experienced. Some even began to share about deeply personal experiences with family members.

This is what took place yesterday at the Eger Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Staten Island. This kind of response is normal and quite common. Each time Walter Ochoa, owner of the Right at Home offices in Brooklyn and Staten Island, provides the Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT) the attendees come away better educated and better equipped to show daily compassion and empathy to those residents who suffer from Dementia of any kind.

The training extended to nearly two dozen CNA’s and lasted for 2 ½ hours. We at Right at Home consider it a privilege and maybe even a bit of a calling to offer these free trainings to rehab and medical communities across New York City.
