Walter Ochoa Merchants of Third Avenue Civic Award

We are excited that owner of Right at Home Brooklyn, Walter Ochoa, has been selected to be one of the recipients of the Merchants of Third Avenue Civic Award for his contributions to the community!

Walter introduced Right at Home to Third Avenue in 2010, providing in-home care and assistance to aging and disabled adults in the community.

About Merchants of Third Avenue

According to the Brooklyn Eagle, "The Merchants of Third Avenue represents the interests of store owners on the avenue between 68th and 95th streets. The group holds events throughout the year, including the Third Avenue Festival and Summer Stroll on 3rd, designed to showcase stores, attract visitors and increase the number of shoppers."

2017 marked the 24th anniversary of the organization. On Monday, October 16, it will host a celebration to honor the men and women who made a positive impact in the community at the Bay Ridge Manor. Walter is among the six Civic Honorees of the 2017 Merchants of Third Avenue Civic Award.
