Right at Home Offers the RightSafe Program to Keep Loved Ones Safe

RightSafe Program

You might be wondering, what has Right at Home been doing to keep up with the challenging times we are all facing right now? We understand that now more than ever it is important to prioritize the safety of those we serve. Here at Right at Home, we do everything in our power to provide the best care to our clients. This is why we have implemented the RightSafe Program. The goal of this program is to ensure we are doing our part to keep you and your loved ones safe.

RightSafe caregiver PPE kits

Through our RightSafe program, we provide our caregivers with safety kits that keep themselves safe as well as their clients! The safety kit includes a thermometer, masks, wipes, gloves, shoe covers, hand sanitizer, and antimicrobial soap. Caregivers can request any other PPE (e.g. face shields and gowns) required to provide proper, safe care to our clients! When entering a client’s home, the caregiver will take their temperature and document it in the communication book. Next, they will apply a mask, apply shoe covers, wash their hands for 20 seconds with antimicrobial soap (and/or use hand sanitizer), and don gloves before and after providing personal care to the client.

Along with the safety kits, caregivers are required to answer the following screening questions upon entering their client’s home:

  • Have I been diagnosed with COVID-19 or told by a healthcare provider that I may or do have COVID-19?
  • Have I had close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
  • Have I travelled to a COVID -19 affected area (outside the US) in the past 14 days?
  • Do I have a fever higher than 100.4 or symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, chills or new loss of taste of smell?

If a caregiver answers yes to any of these questions, they will not return to work until they have tested negative for COVID-19 or have been symptom free for at least 10 days. Right at Home ensures that we will provide an equally as skilled caregiver as a replacement.

Our priority is to keep you safe and cared for, and our RightSafe program is just one way that we can make that happen!

RightSafe Flu Day

This past Thursday was our RightSafe flu day. We offered flu shots and more to our office staff and caregivers. We would like to send a big THANK YOU to Walgreens for helping us stay committed to our safety mission!
