Caregiver

Right at Home is seeking dependable, compassionate Caregivers to provide companion and personal cares to our clients in Cedar Falls and surrounding areas. Companion care includes light housekeeping, laundry assistance, transportation, medication reminders, meal preparation and participating in activities the client enjoys like puzzles or games. Clients may also need assisted walking, transfers, and exercises. Personal care includes help with bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. There is no level of experience or training required as we provide a training and mentoring program to help you be successful.

Requirements of a Caregiver:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proof of Car Insurance
  • Pass Background Check
  • Ability to be reliable and dependable
  • Desire to care for older adults, keeping them safe and independent in their homes

Responsibilities of a Caregiver:

  • Provide personal cares- showers, dressing, assisted walking, transfers
  • Provide assistance with feeding, medication reminders, meal planning
  • Follow agency policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Provide companionship and engaging activities as appropriate
  • Provide transportation as needed
