Phase Four Reopening in Illinois

Safety First

This Friday, June 26th marks the start of Phase Four reopening in Illinois. Phase four indicates that new infection rates have continued to decline despite ongoing testing. After a one day high of 4,014 new positive cases on May 12th, we have seen new daily diagnosis rates from 462 to 658 Illinoisans this week. Phase four also means that our hospitals have adequate capacity to meet a new surge, testing is widely available, and contact tracing is taking place.

While moving into phase four means an increase in social opportunities such as gatherings of 50 or fewer people and re-opening of all non-essential businesses, Right at Home remains dedicated to the strictest measures for the safety of our clients, care professionals, and community. Our direct care staff continue to be provided gloves and masks, as well as care packages with many of the items pictured. Digital thermometers have been provided to all caregivers and those clients without one, and we continue to follow the highest level of prevention, monitoring, and return-to-work recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control.

Though it is impossible to completely eliminate the risk of exposure to Covid-19, Right at Home is dedicated to safety and evidence-based best practice. In living our mission “To Improve the Quality of Life of Those We Serve,” we recognize that those we serve include not only our clients, but our client’s families, our care professionals and their families, and the greater community. As a Joint Commission accredited organization, we will not waiver in our commitment to minimizing this public health threat.
