What Does Accreditation Mean for Our Home Care Clients?
What does all this mean for the clients and communities Right at Home serves? It should be noted that the majority of licensed home care providers are not accredited nor do they subject themselves to this level of scrutiny. Home Care accreditation is not required by the NC Department of Health & Human Services.
During our initial on-site accreditation survey, ACHC did a complete and thorough review of our administrative operations, provisions of care, quality improvement and risk management/safety policies and procedures. Following the initial survey, the Right at Home of Durham & Chapel agency was found to be deficiency free with no corrections necessary.
How the Process Has Influenced Our Agency
Right at Home of Durham & Chapel Hill agency has unquestionably benefited as a home care agency from the accreditation process and will translate to a higher level of care for the clients, communities and families served. The accreditation will support the continuity of care which is especially important when clients transition from rehabilitation/hospital to home.
