National Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day Walk
Every year National Parkinson’s Foundation has a walk in the Triangle fundraising for Parkinson’s called Moving Day NC Triangle. Right at Home is a national sponsoring partner for Moving Day walks around the nation. This year our two local agencies, Right at Home of Wake County and Right at Home of Durham & Chapel Hill, sponsored a “team" T-shirt contest. The winning team was “Rock Steady Boxing” and will receive a $1,000 towards their fundraising efforts sponsored by the two Right at Home locations in the Triangle.
Rock Steady Boxing Fights Parkinson's Disease
Rock Steady Boxing encourages individuals living with Parkinson's Disease to fight back and enhance their quality of life through boxing. By working closely with coaches, boxing can increase strength and can lessen symptoms through movement of the workouts.
Moving Day Impacts Families Around the Nation
Moving Day brings thousands together to raise awareness, to raise funds, and education around Parkinson's Disease. The funds help support the delivery of quality care to individuals living with Parkinson's Disease, to help with research, and to provide resources nationwide.
2019's Moving Day NC Triangle Efforts
Thank you for everyone’s support! The 2019 Moving Day NC Triangle effort was impactful, raising more than $200K towards Parkinson's Disease.
