Dementia Training for Edmond's First Responders

On Monday Right at Home Edmond provided a dementia training for the Edmond Fire Department. On Monday, we completed VDT Training with all Paramedics for EFD.

Recognizing the signs of a person struggling with dementia can lead to better outcomes, especially if our first responders are encountering that person while they are in crisis. The dementia training provided an immersive experience allowing EFD's paramedics to better understand the disorientation and confusion associated with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

We were excited to have this opportunity to give back to the community of Edmond, and we want to extend our sincerest of thanks to the Edmond Fire Department for all that they do to keep us safe!
