Right at Home is hiring a part time nurse for our family owned and operated business located in Eugene, OR!
Right at Home Eugene provides In Home Care and Assistance to seniors, including veterans and elderly people of all different backgrounds. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve, and we are passionate about keeping people comfortable and happy in their own homes. We are looking to hire a Registered Nurse for oversight of our medication administration services that we provide to our clients in their homes.
Job Description Summary
Primary duties include training new caregivers on the policies and procedures relevant to our company's Medication Administration program. The Nurse will lead weekly or bi-weekly in-person classes to train our caregivers the proper way to document and administer medications for our clients. These classes typically run 1.5 - 2 hours in length, and can include up to 4 students. They take place at our office, located near downtown Eugene.
Other duties include reviewing Medication Administration Records against the medication orders for our clients and ensuring their accuracy. This is done primarily by email communication.
On a quarterly basis (every 4 months), Supervisory visits will be performed with every client that receives medication administration services through our company. This involves an in-person visit to review the medications being given, the health of the client, and recommending any changes to improve quality of life and overall health of the individual.
Pay and Hours
This part time position is variable in terms of the hours required, and can range anywhere between 2 and 10 hours a week depending on the case load at the time. Pay is DOE and is negotiable upon interviewing for the position.
