Recruiting Non-Traditional Caregivers Article, Home Health Care News

Pete Morrissey, owner of Right at Home Gainesville Northeast Georgia, was featured in an article by Home Health Care News. The article discusses how home care providers are looking for different ways to attract and hire "non-traditional" caregivers, such as workers in the retail, hospitality and restaurant fields.

In the article, Pete says “I’m not so focused on the person’s prior experience. I’m much more interested in whether they bring the requisite skill set, the requisite attention to detail and a willingness to engage. We’re really taking an industry-agnostic approach to hiring." A focus on training is key for all caregivers, especially making sure that non-traditional caregivers entering home care for the first time are properly trained.
