Dementia Live at Oconee Memorial Hospital
Improving Understanding of Dementia Symptoms
The Right at Home Upstate home care agency team and the Greenville Health System’s Oconee Memorial Memory Support Program will be offering an opportunity to participate in a special interactive experience that simulates the sounds, sights and feelings of Dementia sufferers. Participants can sign up for a thirty minute session to learn more about Dementia symptoms and the impact they have on how people with Dementia experience daily activities.
The program, called "Dementia Live" is a special educational experience designed by the AgeUcate Institute to help increase caregivers' empathy for adults with Dementia. Attendees of each session will have a chance to review their experience with a small group of other participants.
If you'd like to reserve a time slot for this opportunity, please contact Eunice Lehamcher at elehmacher@ghs.org, or call (864)885-7857. If you have more questions about the experience, you may call Renee Pfister, owner of Right at Home Upstate at (864)609-1656.
