Dementia Live® is a hit! Continuing Ed is the Key to Great Caregivers
For the Right at Home CareTeam, training and development are one of the key aspects for working for our agency. This year we have been doing dementia training for all of our CareTeam members with the DementiaLive training we do in the community. Out in the world, we offer two CEU’s to nurses and social workers to take part in this experiential training.

Dementia Live® Is a high impact, dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory change. It is so much easier to take care of a person when you have some insight into where they are coming from. Dementia Live® allows our employees to provide care from an empathetic point of view, rather than a solely task driven endeavor.

The hard future of senior care demographics is that there will not be enough caregivers to help the amount of seniors that will be needing assistance to stay independent at home. Developing a team of empathetic CareTeam members will help our employees stay engaged and benefit each and every elderly client.
