Honoring Veterans This Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day to remember those who have lost their lives while in service to protect our country. On behalf of everyone at Right at Home Haverhill, we wish to say thank you to all who have served.

Some great ways to recognize and say “thank you” to veterans is to volunteer at a Veterans Administration Hospital in your area. Take some time to visit with the veterans and get to know their stories and thank them for their service.

With the holiday approaching, we wish to take the time to notify our clients, caregivers, families, friends and our readers who served our country of the financial program available to Veterans and their spouses.

Many Veterans and their spouses and/or widows may be eligible for the VA Benefit known as Aid and Attendance. Through our program, you can speak directly with an experienced and knowledgeable consultant to evaluate your personal situation. If you meet the military, medical and financial “tests,” it is just a matter of “when” your benefit kicks in.

Enrolling into the VA program can be overwhelming, confusing and can take many months. We encourage you to call and find out if you meet the criteria. Often many people may pass up on the pension because they think that they may not qualify or were told differently by others. We say…let the experts tell you!

To learn more about this program, please contact Right at Home Haverhill’s Community Relations Team by calling our office at 877-500-CARE (2273).
