Caregiver Spotlight
Jade B. has been an employee for Right at Home since February 2021. She said she has always taken care of the elderly population for her entire life and has continued to do it as it feels natural, and she enjoys it. She said her favorite part of caregiving is that she gets to meet new people and hear many kinds of stories and having back and forth conversations. She said her favorite interaction with a client was when a client’s spouse told a joke to Jade and the client said to ignore the joke and began to tell the spouse a more outlandish joke.

Dara S. has been working for right at home for one and a half years. She wanted to become a caregiver as she likes helping people and thought she could gain a lot of wisdom from working with older people. Her favorite part of caregiving is that she enjoys having a job where she feels like she is being valued. Her favorite caregiving story was when she stopped a client from being scammed by a telemarketer. The client planned on sending money to the telemarketer, but she stopped her and called us to let us call the family. She was proud that she was able to protect her client, and it helped her build trust with the client.

Jherra M. has been a part of the Right at Home team in Edmond since 2020. Growing up, Jherra knew she wanted to help the elderly and wanted to be someone that makes an impact in someone else’s life for the better. She is always excited to meet new clients and their families and hear all their past stories. After hearing one of her client’s struggles before starting with Right at Home, it was rewarding to hear “God sent you hear for a reason.” She feels that even the small tasks she can help with make a big difference in her clients’ daily living.

Adele A. was brought onto the Right at Home Edmond team in October 2021. She wanted to become a 1-on-1 caregiver because she can create meaningful relationships in comparison to working at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She feels satisfaction when helping clients solve problems, or whatever else is weighing on their mind at the time. Along with taking care of their physical and housekeeping needs, listening to her clients is a joyful experience. While all her clients are unique in their own ways, she feels special when clients ask about her own interests and personal life.

Janet B. is one of our newest additions to the Right at Home Edmond team. She was brought on in December 2021 and is a seasoned caregiver. She has been taking care of others all her life and it has become a strong passion of hers. Janet truly believes in the quote “treat others as you would want to be treated”. While working with Right at Home Edmond, Janet has found enjoyment getting to know her main client. Sitting on the patio, listening to stories, watching TV shows together, and spending quality time reminds her of the time she spent with her father. Janet has proven to be a great caregiver and has already won Employee of the Month within her first 3 months!

Glenda L. has been with Right at Home Edmond for 1 year. Glenda chose to become a caregiver to help clients stay in their homes instead of going to a facility. She enjoys spending time with each client, listening to their concerns, and helping them anyway possible. Her favorite memory whilst working for Right at Home Edmond is when the spouse of one of her clients thanked her several times for being so patient and caring to her husband.

Donna D. joined RAH Edmond in December 2021. Donna started off taking care of her own family members, and it soon quickly became a passion of hers. Donna enjoys becoming friends with her clients, learning more about them, and listening to what they have to say. Every weekend, her favorite thing is bringing her client new snacks to try. Bonding with clients through food, cooking, and mealtime is something that Donna enjoys whilst caregiving.

Sherrie S. has been with Right at Home Edmond for 3 years. She has a strong passion for taking care of others and enjoys getting to know her residents more than anything. Although there can be challenges, she enjoys these the most. Sherrie explained that her favorite part of working with Right at Home is spending time with dementia clients. Hearing their stories before they had dementia, being there for them, and showing genuine interest is what makes it all worthwhile for her.

Denise D. has been a committed caregiver for Right at Home since 2013 (8 years!!). She started as a caregiver in a nursing home and loved the opportunity to work with seniors. Denise then transitioned to Right at Home to begin providing one on one care to individuals in their home. She loves the opportunity to help individuals maintain a good life. One of her favorite memories as a caregiver was when she was able to assist her clients to participate in a group meeting that she had not gone to in almost a year. Denise shared how rewarding it is to help individuals get back to what they enjoy doing to improve their quality of life. Right at Home is grateful for Denise’s compassion and dedication to her clients.

Caregiver Spotlight: Lou L. joined our Right at Home Edmond team about 2 years ago and serves in our Stillwater area. Lou’s path in becoming a caregiver started because he wanted to approach life from a Christian perspective, by helping others. As he shared “the elderly population is the most vulnerable and I want to be there to help them.” Lou is extremely thorough, compassionate, and responsive with our client. He never fails to step up in a time of need. Lou enjoys his time as a caregiver because he is happy to be of service to others. For him, caregiving is energizing and fun. Right at Home is grateful to have Lou on our team as his willingness to help others does not go unnoticed.
Caregiver Spotlight: Sharonda J. has been a caregiver for Right at Home for the past 2 years, she began caregiving for her grandmother who was battling cancer and loved the fulfillment of helping others. Sharonda enjoys being a caregiver because of the opportunity to continue to meet new people. Her favorite memory while working for Right at Home is when she had to think outside the box to best assist her client. At the beginning of the pandemic when many places were shut down, her client was unable to get hair done. Sharonda was able to wash her hair, roll, and set her hair. Now, Sharonda does her clients hair every two weeks and allows her to stay safe in her home. Sharonda is a perfect example how Right at Home caregivers step up to meet all care (& beauty) needs. We appreciate the efforts our caregivers provide to all our clients to maintain their safety and independence.
Caregiver Spotlight: Kiley S. has made a significant impact in the three months she has been working with Right at Home. Kiley is a caregiver because of her passion to help others and the quality time she gets to spend with her clients She enjoys talking with clients about events that occurred throughout their lifetime. Kiley is grateful that each and every day she feels like she has made a difference . The joy she sees in her clients eyes and their smiles makes every day worth it. Kiley is always present with her clients by carrying on genuine and meaningful conversations. Kiley is a prime example of how Right at Home is able to improve the quality of life of our clients with her dedication, positive attitude, and care skills. Right at Home caregivers have such a big heart and truly love assisting others to maintain independence and support aging in place.
Caregiver Spotlight: Marsha A. has been a Right at Home caregiver for almost a year. Marsha exemplifies dedication, strong communication, and compassion towards her clients. Marsha’s positive energy and bright personality is constantly putting a smile on her client’s faces. Marsha is very passionate about senior care and has completed her masters in Gerontology from University of Oklahoma to become a strong advocate for aging in place. Marsha strives each day to improve the quality of life and help maintain independence for the individuals she cares for. Marsha holds her clients close to her and treats them like they are family. Right at Home Edmond is beyond grateful to have Marsha on our caregiver team and it is individuals like Marsha that impact lives each and every day. Right at Home is a firm believer in aging in place and we are here to support you and your loved ones every step of the way.
Caregiver Spotlight: Rania T. has recently joined our team, but has quickly made a significant impact. Rania became a certified nurse aide to be able to assist those who cannot do everything for themselves. Rania loves the companionship with her clients as well as learning and experiencing the different cultures. She shared that she is grateful to be able to give back and do a public service for our community by being a caregiver. Right at Home Edmond is very excited to have Rania on our team because of her compassion, communication, and skills that allow her to make a difference in our clients lives.
Caregiver Spotlight: Estelle F. has been a Certified Nurse Aide on the Right at Home Edmond team for 4 years. Estelle is a very caring individual, who shows a great deal of concern for her clients. Estelle’s passion to serve others is so great she has recently gone on to pursue nursing school. We are excited for Estelle to expand her knowledge and skills to continue to provide care for our community. Estelle enjoys spending her time taking care of the elderly because she loves caring for others and learning about history through her clients. She loves being a caregiver because of how rewarding each and every day is on the job. Estelle continues to make a difference in many lives through her work. We are grateful for Estelle as she exemplifies the Right at Home mission through her dedication and warm heart.
Caregiver Spotlight: Delia G. has been a caregiver with Right at Home for almost 3 years. Delia is an incredibly hard working, passionate, and dependable caregiver. She is consistently receiving positive compliments from our clients and their families. Becoming a caregiver for seniors fell into Delia’s path after years of working with children and wanting to try something new. She quickly realized that working as caregiver to serve seniors was her calling. Delia loves being a caregiver because she loves cooking, engaging in conversation, laughing together, and taking them to places around their community. While her time working for Right at Home, Delia’s most memorable moment is with a client she instantly connected with, they quickly became best friends and confidantes. Delia, stated that “she treated me like a daughter and I never stepped out of my boundaries but she was someone I could always talk to.” Right at Home appreciates Delia’s compassionate heart and her ability to connect with her clients.
Caregiver Spotlight: Jericho C. serves as a certified nurse aide in our Stillwater, Oklahoma area. She has recently joined the Right at Home team and has jumped right in to assist our clients. She loves to work with seniors because she highly values their life experiences. Some of Jericho’s favorite moments while working for Right at Home are with her clients, who are women of the military because of all the stories they have to share. We greatly appreciate Jericho’s ability to connect with our clients and build a relationship while providing excellent care. Companionship is so important for seniors to improve their mental wellbeing and overall improve their quality of life.
Caregiver Spotlight: Belinda J., Registered Nurse, has been with our Right At Home team a little over 3 years. Belinda chose to pursue nursing when her youngest had started college. She wanted to become a nurse because of the versatility of the career. After working in a variety of departments, she found her niche in cardiology and retired from there. After a few years of retirement she became restless and took the opportunity to work for Right at Home Edmond. Belinda stated "I soon fell in love with our senior clients, working part-time, and the rest is history!” We appreciate Belinda’s hard-work, compassion, and dedication. Belinda helps our team improve the quality of life of those we serve on a daily basis.
Caregiver Spotlight: Mariah M. has spent the past 3 years on our Right at Home team as a Certified Nurse Aide. Mariah grew up assisting and supporting her great grandmother. She wanted to become a caregiver for our senior community to be able to help serve others. One of Mariah’s favorite aspects of being a caregiver is that she becomes a part of her clients family and they become a part of hers. Mariah's fondest memory while being a caregiver for Right at Home is when she assisted her client to her great grandchild’s birthday where there was a petting zoo and a trip to Pop’s. Mariah loved watching her client’s face light up with joy during the birthday party. Right at Home surrounds an individual with a customized care plan to allow them to maintain or even regain their freedom to improve their quality of life. It’s the little moments that make life big.
Caregiver Spotlight: Patti K. has been an asset to the Right at Home Team from the moment she walked through our doors. Patti is very engaging, helpful, and committed to all her clients. She became a caregiver because she was unable to care for her own grandmother as she had small children at home and worked full time. For her, being a caregiver now for our elderly community is in honor of her grandmother. Patti loves working with Right at Home clients because they are very interesting with all their stories and life experiences. She especially loves when her clients watch old shows like Andy Griffith and Gun Smoke! Patti has a passion to help people and loves knowing that her help allows her clients to stay safe and comfortable in their own home. Right at Home strives to help individuals age in place by receiving the proper assistance with Right at Home’s customized care plan. We are able to live out our mission to improve the quality of life of those we serve with the help of caregivers, like Patti.
Caregiver Spotlight: Trina C. has been a part of our Right at Home since August of last year. Trina has been a very hard-working and dedicated caregiver ever since joining our team. She always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Trina loves being a caregiver because it is her way she gives back to our community by providing quality one-on-one care that they deserve because at some point, they took care of someone, and deserve the care in return. Her favorite aspect of being a caregiver is always learning new things and getting to know the different personalities in each one of her clients. In her time with Right at Home, Trina shared a memory that touched her heart. One of her clients asked to play hide-and-go-seek and they had so much fun together providing happiness and laughter to the client and Trina. Right at Home provides one-on-one care to dedicate and commit to each and every client to meet their needs whether it be bathing or simply playing hide-and-go-seek. Trina excels at building relationships and providing customized care to our clients with the RIGHT mission and RIGHT approach.
Caregiver Spotlight: Ariel M. is one of our newer caregivers, but the minute he joined Right at Home he hit the ground running. We have been extremely grateful to have Ariel be a part of our team and he has become such an asset. Ariel chose to work in the senior industry because giving and helping is something he loves to do. He shared that “the elderly population represents our parents who once looked after us and now it is nice to return the kind favors”. Ariel has a heart of gold and all his actions are done with kindness and compassion. Since, Ariel has worked for Right at Home he has already created memories. His favorite memory was visiting with one of his clients that had taken a trip to Cameroon, which is Ariel’s country of origin. Ariel was so intrigued to listen to his wonderful adventures around the world and advice to travel, meet new people, and make the best memories. Ariel represents Right at Home so well because he not only meets our mission but exceeds it by improving the quality of life of those we serve each and every day.
Caregiver Spotlight: Colleen P. has been working religiously with Right at Home for 2 years. Colleen has made such a positive impact on Right at Home because she serves her clients with love, compassion, and grace. Colleen strives at building relationships with her clients making them feel safe and comfortable. Overall, she is a natural caregiver as she cared for her parents for 11 years and was able to help them through all the difficult times. As Colleen stated her favorite part about being a caregiver is to “simply be there for them” by listening and sharing stories. Colleen shares that every day is a blessing and is lucky to wake up every day and enjoy going to work, she considered her clients to be her extended family. Thank you Colleen for all that you do for Right at Home and for always providing quality care to your clients.
Caregiver Spotlight: Nestor V. has been with Right at Home for a little over a year. Nestor is an extremely loving, dedicated, relational individual, which makes him a great caregiver. No matter the job or the location Nestor is always willing to drive the distance, put in the hours, and work hard. We appreciate the time and dedication Nestor provides to Right at Home. Nestor loves being a caregiver because of the bonds and relationships built with each client and family. His favorite moment when being a caregiver with Right at Home was his very first assignment, when he was assigned to a more difficult client. Nestor said it took a lot of patience and dedication in order for this client to turn into a good friendship, but when he finally broke through to the client, he enjoyed all his time spent with him. We appreciate the work you put in for Right at Home to help us provide the best quality home care to those who we serve.
Caregiver Spotlight: Elizabeth N. has been with Right at Home for two and a half years. As a caregiver Elizabeth never fails to be caring and dedicated to each one of her clients. She wanted to become a caregiver because she could make her career something she is very passionate about, which is helping others when they need it most. Also, Elizabeth shared that she loves the senior community because they are very nice and genuine people that teach her a lot of history. Right at Home is grateful to have Elizabeth on our team the past couple of years, she shared that she enjoys working for Right at Home because they always respond in a timely manner and tune it to any complaints, reports, or concerns. Elizabeth is a great caregiver and a great match for Right at Home as she upholds our mission, which is to improve the quality of life for those we serve through RIGHT people, RIGHT services, and RIGHT approach.
Caregiver Spotlight: Traci S. started out as a companion and recently received her Certified Nurses Aide license. Right at Home is extremely proud of her hard work. Traci began one year ago with Right at Home as a caregiver to help individuals because she enjoys talking, building relationships with her clients and most importantly make them smile. She has been a dedicated, diligent, and a valuable part of Right at Home. Traci shared that she has loved and grown attached to all her clients throughout the year and there are many stories attached that it is hard to name just one. She has learned and picked up a lot of wisdom and knowledge on patience, kindness, and perseverance right on down to famous old time actors and movies. Traci stated that she is “so happy for the experience and grateful for the people she has met along the way, including her clients and family members”. Traci has made a big impact to many individuals and Right at Home is fortunate to have her on our team.
Caregiver Spotlight: Jessica H. recently joined the Right at Home Edmond team as a Certified Nurses Aid. Ever since the start she has demonstrated passion, dedication, and energy. All of the clients that Jessica has worked with have only raved about her time spent with them. At the age of 15, Jessica started caring for the geriatric community because of her love for caring for others. She enjoys being a caregiver because she is able to build personal connections with her clients. When asked her favorite memory, she was not able to list just one and shared that her first client was the sweetest man and it made coming to work easy. It is important to love your job and love the people you work with to make the most of everyday. We are thankful to have Jessica a part of our caregiving team to help spread love and kindness among the senior community.
Caregiver Spotlight: Zackary C. has been a Certified Nurse’s Aid for Right at Home for a year and a half. Zackary is always extremely dedicated to his clients by being hardworking, compassionate, and efficient. He chose to be a caregiver because it is important for him to help improve the quality of life of the people around him. As a caregiver, Zackary loves to help individuals work towards achieving their goals, whether it be life goals, rehabilitation goals, or daily goals. When working for Right at Home as a caregiver, Zackary’s fondest moments are spending time with a couple, transporting them to appointments and other events because they both have an extraordinary outlook on life. Zackary was inspired by the couple because of the way they take care of their own and offer to help others. There is always room to learn and grow from the people around you no matter the stage of life.
