The Phoenix VA Health Care System was recently honored as a top performer at the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA) awards, held on October 16 in Tucson, AZ. This recognition celebrates Phoenix VA’s commitment to improving healthcare for veterans, highlighted by their “Journey to ZERO (Harm) — a Fall Reduction Project,” which earned the Top Overall Excellence Award. This initiative aimed to cut fall rates in acute care by 50%, focusing on psychological safety, continuous feedback, and ongoing performance improvement to promote a safer environment for veterans.
