Caregiver Training: Transfers and Ambulation with a Walker
In March we conducted our first quarter caregiver training for 2019. In addition to online training that the caregivers have access to, we also provide hands on quarterly training for all of our caregivers. The first quarter of 2019 we conducted training on Gait belt transfers, Wheelchair transfers and proper ambulation with a walker along with emergency situations. We always start the training with a care scenario.
The extra training brings our team together so we can discuss how to improve our clients and caregivers experience. The open discussion with our caregivers is a great tool to get input on what training is requested and needed for future training sessions. Our staff is here to give our caregivers as many tools as we can to do the best job they can. We appreciate their input and look forward to the next training session.
