phenique

December 2021:Phenique Galindo

Phenique decided she wanted to be a caregiver after caring for her mom most of her adult life. Being a family member on the other side I saw the serious need for caregivers who actually had a passion for caring for people who couldn’t care for themselves. She thought even if she could bring care and compassion to just one person or family that needed it, that she can make a difference. Just how proud her mom would be of her!

Being able to make a difference with my career is beyond a rewarding experience. One I plan on continuing my path in the future.

tina-parmenter

April 2021:Tina

I got into healthcare because I love helping people and I absolutely love making a difference in someone life. In Kindergarten our class went to a nursing home for Halloween, dressed in our costumes. An elderly lady thought I was so cute that she sat me on her lap. I made her laugh which brought a smile to her face. A picture of that moment was actually printed in the local newspaper. Knowing I put a smile on her face made me feel that I wanted to help the elderly when I grew up.

I have worked with Right at Home as a CNA/Staffing Coordinator for about 10 years now. I started as a field employee helping the elderly doing their everyday task then move up to the office staff coordinator. Now I am able to make sure our elderly clients are in the best hands of our caregivers. In my position I am able to match up caregivers to best fit our clients’ needs. Being a people person, I am always in contact with our clients and caregivers, to make sure the care in Right On.

During my time off I enjoy spending time with my family, I also like bike riding with my son and going to the drive- ins with my Dad. I love traveling and seeing the world and I absolutely love the beach. My goal is to enjoy my life to the fullest and spend as much time with my family as I can.
