Dave Harrison - Owner
Right at Home Old Saybrook

dave

Dave Harrison is the owner of Right at Home in Old Saybrook. Dave is a life-long resident of Connecticut and currently lives on the shoreline in Old Saybrook with his wife and two daughters. Dave’s educational and professional background have prepared him to lead an unrivaled in-home senior service agency at Right at Home.

Immediately out of high school, Dave joined the US Army Reserves. This experience taught him many things including the importance of clear communication and the value in taking ownership of your actions. “Having been enlisted in the service gives me a sense of connection to our Veterans who have served our country during times of war. They are a very special group of people who deserve the very best.” Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Science in Health and Wellness Promotion from Springfield College, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford, and is a Registered Nurse (RN) graduating from Goodwin College.

Working as an RN has allowed Dave to experience first hand the need for superior, quality-driven in-home services for our seniors and disabled adults. Dave has worked in several different types of service providing settings including a local hospital providing nursing to medically unstable patients, Long Term Care providing nursing care to seniors with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and in the Home Health Care environment. “Working with seniors always provided me with the greatest sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.” Prior to working as a Registered Nurse, Dave worked in the Financial Services industry for nearly 20 years. He held several leadership positions supporting the business technology and operational needs for various Insurance and Financial institutions in the Harford, CT area.

Right at Home of Old Saybrook is committed to providing unparalleled service to our clients, their family members, and the health care community. Dave is building a home care business to serve the local community in which he lives based on his own personal value system which includes being trustworthy, approachable, and maintaining a relentless focus on high quality outcomes. Dave believes that, “peace of mind is priceless” for clients and family members when providing care in the home. He feels that by building his business around his personal value system, will enable him to deliver that peace of mind. We are the Right People, doing the Right Things, the Right Way, for the Right Reason.

Gina Cannelli
Scheduling Manager

Gina is a lifelong resident of Connecticut, growing up in Killingworth. At a young age, she learned many facets of her father’s printing business and throughout the years she absorbed more and more about running a business and all the components involved. That led Gina to earn her degrees from Central Connecticut State University in Business Management and Marketing, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into two honor societies. The valuable lessons Gina learned at her father’s side and the skills she learned in college prepared her well for her position as a scheduling manager. Her background in business management provides a strong foundation in organization, problem-solving and strategic planning, which are essential for managing schedules and facilitating the right caregiver-client matches. It has also equipped her to assist with the hiring of new staff, supporting a smooth onboarding process that ensures caregivers are well-prepared for their roles and aligns them with the agency’s goals and expectations.

We want to be sure we are bringing on only the best and most qualified team members to work with our clients.
