Medical Alert Monitoring

As seniors get older, the risk of falling increases. In fact, falls are the leading cause of injuries and hospital admissions among the elderly population. According to the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in four Americans aged 65 and older fall every year. Falls not only cause injury, but in some cases can cause death.

Personal Emergency Response System

Falls are not only a problem for the person who fell, but for their loved ones. A medical alert monitoring system gives you and your family the peace of mind of knowing that when a fall happens, someone is there to help. To help, we have partnered with Philips to provide Philips Lifeline. Philips Lifeline is the leading medical alert system that is designed to keep your loved safe. With more than 4 models available, Philips Lifeline offers a wide range of systems to choose from.

How medical alert systems work

With a high detection rate for true falls, as soon as you press the Lifeline button, you connected with a professional staff member at the Response Center that is available 24 hours day, 7 days a week. For those with AutoAlert enabled, a staff member will contact you, whether the button was pushed or not. From there, they work with you to quickly assess the situation and determine what type of help may be needed.

HomeSafe

HomeSafe is the perfect solution for helping seniors remain independent in their homes. HomeSafe is an extension of Philips’ Lifeline medical alert service. HomeSafe connects to Philips’ 24-hour emergency response center giving seniors the peace of mind knowing that if something happens, someone is there to help. HomeSafe comes with two devices, a HomeSafe button and a Communicator. The button can be worn as a necklace or wristband, whichever one suits you. The button is waterproof, lightweight, and comes with a long-lasting battery. The Communicator, as the name might imply, communicates directly with a Response Center Associate who is ready to help. It works as a high-fidelity speaker and can be heard throughout the home.

GoSafe

For seniors who are always on the move, GoSafe offers protection while at home or on the go. GoSafe features all the technology that comes with HomeSafe, but with advance GPS functions to track the physical location of the your loved one when seeking help. Beyond GPS, it uses other tracking technologies such as Wi-Fi and cell towers. In addition, GoSafe comes with AutoAlert, an advance fall automatic detection program.

Much like HomeSafe, GoSafe comes with button that can be worn as a necklace or wristband and a Communicator. The two main distinction is that the button can be worn in and out of the home, and that the button acts as a speakerphone to that your loved one can establish two-way communication with the Response Center.
