Zest Gala 2018 | Pasadena Senior Center
Zest Gala 2018 Benefit for Pasadena Senior Center
The Pasadena Senior Center's Zest Gala (their one big fundraiser of the year) was held on Saturday night, September, 29. There were about 220 people in attendance to support this wonderful cause. The proceeds from this event will go to continue to support the Pasadena Senior Center in its mission of engaging, enriching and empowering older adults to lead healthy and vibrant lives.
During this event they honored Rosemary Simmons who has dedicated her life to the betterment of the community through her support of organizations such as the Huntington Hospital, Pasadena Educational Foundation, San Marino, Schools and several others. She was also the first Mayor of San Marino.
Sandy Murphy, our Community Development Director, has donated her time to Zest and has Chaired their Silent Auction for the past three years. Auction items included a helicopter ride-a-long with the Pasadena Police Department, a beach front condo in Maui, HI, Dodger Tickets and many other impressive donations. We also co-sponsored, along with Gentle Transitions, the table favors.
We love being a part of the community and supporting those businesses that are helping improve the lives of seniors which is our mission. The Pasadena Senior Center is one of these businesses and we were proud to be a part of this event.
