Our topic this month is "Keeping Your Brain Healthy" presented by Efron Moreno, Jr., Senior Manager of Community Outreach for the East L.A. office of Alzheimer's Los Angeles.
Did you know that your brain is an organ? Learn what research is showing we can do now to keep our memory strong as we age - including nutritional tips, how to keep active and ways to challenge your brain. This session includes several interactive brain games.
Our speaker this month, Efrem, has been active doing community education as a founding member of a non-profit and serving as Mayor and Council Member for the City of Alhambra. He is also caregiver for his parents, his moth with Alzheimer's and father with Parkinson's. He is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, with a BS in Business Administration and he has earned an Executive Certificate from the Home Modification Program at the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology at USC.
