2022 Northwest Central Region Caregiver Of The Year
Congratulations to Marci Meader on her recognition of delivering extraordinary care to clients and their families.
Marci was selected as the Northwest Central Region Caregiver of the Year among
thousands of other caregivers from Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska,
Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Alaska for her exemplary
commitment to making a difference in the lives of her clients and team members.
“This is the most rewarding position I’ve ever had,” said Marci Meader, 2022 Regional Caregiver of the Year. “I give a lot of myself, but what I get in return is priceless. Knowing I’m making a difference in my clients’ lives makes my time with them all worth it. During the pandemic, I found my presence was needed even more, as our senior population was on lockdown, and I became their main social outlet.”
“Marci uses creativity in finding new and unique ways to engage our clients on not just a physical level, but also by keeping their emotional needs in mind,” said Shayne Brown, Right at Home office owner. “Marci often puts the needs of our clients above her own.”
Marci enjoys learning about the little things that make a difference for the people. According to Brown, “Marci cared for one of our clients who loved to have their back scratched when he would wake up from naps. She called it, ‘getting the wrinkles out,’ and he loved it.”
Marci has been with Right at Home for six years, working as a caregiver in Reno, Nevada, for office owners Shayne Brown and Pete Kuzmich. Going the extra mile to provide exceptional care for those in need often comes down to the small things that make a big difference in a client’s life. Marci’s compassion, selflessness and willingness to go above and beyond have made her a valued member of Right at Home and a beloved caregiver for seniors in her community.
Honoring Our Caregivers
National and Regional Caregivers of the Year are the highest honors awarded by Right at Home. Caregivers are nominated for their exemplary commitment to making a difference in the lives of their clients and teams. The winners are selected by a committee that includes Right at Home representatives and community professionals from outside health care, senior care and caregiving organizations. The award is presented annually during the organization’s conference.
