Top 6 Ways to Honor Senior Fathers

This month we celebrated Father’s Day so we wanted to take a moment to thank the men in our lives. Let’s share our appreciation for all they do and give back with the same love and compassion they’ve shared on numerous occasions. Right at Home Salem caregivers would like to thank all fathers in our communities, including senior fathers who’ve known what it means to be a dad for quite some time and continue to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

6 Ways to Honor Senior Fathers in Salem

If you’re looking for ways to honor the senior fathers, the following activities provide plenty of opportunities to extend your thanks and make new memories. Which events will you attend?

1. Father’s Day at Charmingfare Farm

Spending Father’s Day at Charmingfare Farm promises tons of fun. Enjoy a tasty barbecue, games, and activities as you show Dad just how much he means to you. Senior fathers can also enjoy watching grandchildren take pony rides and visit the petting zoo. It’s great fun designed for the entire family!

2. Make It For Dad!

Stop in at the Home Depot in Salem to attend a free workshop to make Dad a memorable gift. This parent/child workshop also gives dads a chance to build a project with their children and inspire them to create more at home together. These projects present the perfect opportunity for senior fathers to share the knowledge they’ve gained over the years in creating something unique and personal.

3. Father’s Day at Framebridge

They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, but for many fathers, a single image can be worth much more than that. Join Framebridge in celebrating fathers with frameable keepsakes meant especially for Dad. Framebridge offers multiple ways to celebrate fathers this June, from writing out famous quotes and framing them to typing up your favorite pieces of advice given over the years.

4. “Daddy & Me” Father’s Day Tea

Afternoon tea isn’t just for Mother’s Day! Instead, spend some quality time with Dad while sipping some of your favorite tea varieties from the Jolie Tea Company. In the hustle and bustle of today, it’s nice to sit back and slow down. Visit Salem.org or Jolie Tea Company to learn more.

5. Father’s Day Weekend Bash

Family barbecues may be a cherished memory among senior fathers, their spouses, and their children, but getting together with the community can make this Father’s Day even more special. Check out the Father’s Day Weekend Bash at Appleton Farms, where you’ll find live music, tasty barbecue and wood-fired pizza, and games aplenty.

6. Father’s Day Fishing Derby

Check out the Wakefield Rotary’s Friends and Family Father’s Day Fishing Derby at Lake Quannapowitt this Father’s Day. Test your angling skills and let Dad or Grandpa show you a thing or two about working the bait and enticing the fish to bite. This event is free to the public and open to anglers of all ages.
