Pain Management in the Dementia Patient CEU EVENT North Reading

"Pain is an undertreated problem in many populations, including the frail elderly, particularly those with cognitive impairment, delirium or dementia.  Recognizing and treating their pain presents special challenges. During this presentation, we will discuss the effects of under-treated pain, methods to assess pain in individuals who are unable to communicate, and effective medications and non-drug therapies for pain management in this population."
