Team Building at Catamaran Resort in Mission Beach

Right at Home Temecula team photo at Catamaran Resort

One positive from this COVID-19 season is the opportunity for a team-building experience watching the annual Right at Home Conference, Home Improvement, from the beautiful Catamaran Resort in Mission Beach. Typically only a few staff members can attend, this year everyone was able to participate. It was a great time to refocus on how we can continue to improve and be there for our clients and caregivers. The last day of the conference held a special surprise, winning two special awards and being the only office to win both- Highest Client Satisfaction in the West Region and Highest Caregiver Satisfaction in the West Region. And all this amid a global pandemic, we have an amazing team of caregivers behind us to make this happen.

Care Packages for Our Caregivers

various snacks, candy and items including a mask for caregiver care packages

With so much uncertainty going on in our world, our Caregivers have maintained their reassuring and helpful work ethic, doing everything they can to keep the clients healthy and happy. Our very own Client Care Coordinator, Michelle Sass, wanted to share our appreciation for how much our Caregivers are doing for our clients during this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 virus. Michelle decided to create a gift bag for each Caregiver. The bags contained tissues, lip balm, gum, candy, flavor packs to put in water, granola bars and a handwritten “Thank You” note. She also provided the necessary protective supplies, including masks and gloves, they need to keep themselves and their clients safe. She delivered over 70 care packages to the Caregivers while they were working at the clients’ homes. The whole process took about 2 weeks to accomplish and the result was well worth the effort. All the Caregivers were extremely happy, and they felt a great sense of gratitude and connection to our team. It also made Michelle “feel great doing something for our great Caregivers that go above and beyond for their clients.

Wine and Chocolate event with Hospice of the Valley

Hospice of the Valleys Wine and Chocolate Event

On the evening of September 21st, Lorette Oliver and her husband Darin attended the Wine and Chocolate fundraising event at Hospice of the Valleys. The event takes place every year with a slightly different title. This event was called, "An Evening in White" so everyone wore white. The event always takes place at a winery in the Temecula valley. This year it was held at Monteleone Meadows. There is a silent auction and a live auction of donated items, trips, gift cards, etc. The attendees buy tickets and arrive to wine tastings and appetizers all donated by many businesses in the area. There was live music and a sit down dinner. And desserts were served, much of it chocolate of course! Lorette and Darin were guests/supporters. We have a great deal of respect for Hospice of the Valleys and the job that they do.
