Akizandria Mendes Caregiver of the Year 2023 Right at Home South Shore
Akizandria Mendes is our 2023 Right at Home – South Shore 2023 Caregiver of the Year.
Akizandria has been a Right at Home Team member for the past 6 years. Being a new Home Health Aide, fresh out of school 2 months earlier, she wanted a career that would enable her to support her children but was also meaningful in caring for seniors. She was eager & willing to learn. Her compassion, dedication, gentle manner, professionalism, and genuine desire to help others, has brought her to where she is today; a highly skilled, professional who has demonstrated and performed at a level most worthy of this honor.

She always has a professional appearance, always looking neat in scrubs and wearing her name badge and a mask. She has a sunny disposition and has a pleasant and positive attitude. The past 3 years have brought tremendous challenges to both our Caregivers and the Clients they provide care to daily. With an ongoing, worldwide Pandemic and the toll of Covid-19 that has now become an everyday part of life for us all, Akizandria has never wavered in her commitment to supporting our seniors in the community and is truly an “essential worker”.
Compassion, selflessness, and willingness to go above and beyond have made Akizandria a valued member of Right at Home as well as a beloved Caregiver for those we serve in the community.

Over the past 6 years, Akizandria has grown dramatically to become a mature, seasoned caregiver who is not afraid of new challenges and situations. She has opened herself to many new client situations that have challenged her and helped her gain confidence in growing her skill set. She is dedicated and responsible in fulfilling and excelling in her educational requirements annually.

While there are many standout caregivers who meet many of the requirements of the Right at Home – South Shore Caregiver of the Year, Akizandria truly shines in every area assessed. Over the past few years, she has established herself as a Brand Ambassador for Right at Home having referred several new employees to work here as well as educating clients on how Right at Home services work and can further help them.
