Eric Gonzalez-Kaczmarek Wants to Give Back

Eric started working for us with no experience in home care, but we recognized in him a talent for connecting with others. He enjoys listening to his client’s life stories and helping them out where and when they need it.

Eric’s clients include a 21-year-old young man with a disability. He spends days and nights with him, sometimes a couple in a row, when the client’s mother travels for work.

He also cared for a 100-year-old gentleman, Marty before he died last year.  Marty was a welder and owned a welding company, which is the trade Eric is studying. In addition to being a great caregiver for Marty, he enjoyed his company and appreciated his advice. Both Marty and Eric got something positive out of the relationship.

Eric currently takes care of another older gentleman who needs med reminders, help with lunch, shopping, putting his compression hose on, and some housekeeping.

Eric Explains the Importance of Receiving Help and Giving Back

Eric recently gave a moving speech at Fox Valley Technical College where he is currently a student. Fox Valley Technical College is featuring a video excerp of Eric's speech on their website HERE. You can also view the video below.

Gone Fishin'

Eric says that he knows how important it is to have help when needed because he was once in need of it. At one point he, his brother and mom were homeless. Eric is so thankful for those in his life who have made a difference that he also wants to help others. It’s also his goal to get an education and to make a decent living at something he is motivated to do. If he is not in need Eric knows that he can not only help himself, but he can also help others.
