Local Industries Get Together for a Presentation by Abraham Lincoln

Right at Home, was invited as a guest by Michelle, owner of Care Patrol, to the Community First Credit Union in Menasha for a presentation on Leadership and Communication, as seen through the eyes of President Lincoln. The presenter was entrepreneur, Dr. Gene Griessman.  

A very interesting morning!

Some Insightful Points by Dr Griessman Included:

• “Write with your Ears” – read everything out loud, so you know how it sounds to another person, and can make changes before sending it.
• “Talk with your Eyes” – Eye contact when talking, really grabs the attention of those you are talking to, drawing them into your conversation/ speech/ whatever you are presenting
• “Sell Benefits, not Attributes” – how is what you are talking about going to benefit the person(s) you are talking to? 
• “Script Yourself” – Know your purpose of each call before you make it. Ask forward thinking questions. Keep bullet points
