Keys to Heart Health at Heart Health Conference

Loma Linda Heart Conference

Susan Crivello, Community Liaison for Right at Home, Temecula, attended the 4th Annual Heart Health Conference in February presented by Loma Linda University Medical which was held at the Civic Center in Temecula. The event was intended to educate and inform the community about heart health, prevention, and treatment options. Highlights of the conference included a presentation on understanding heart valve disease and treatment, a moderated panel conversation providing facts on AFib and Ablation and the risk factors, and how individuals can take charge of their heart health.

There was audience participation and there were two demonstrations of heart health exercises and hands-only CPR. About 125 Medical Experts, Exhibitors, and Community Residents attended the event.  Smoking cigarettes still remain the targeted nemesis for heart health. Susan met with Head Nurse, Kari Herbert, for the TVAR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement),

Team and is pictured with Dr. Niraj V. Parekh, M.D., who specializes in Interventional Cardiology and Vascular diseases. He was one of the panelists. Susan’s most important lesson from the event was that prevention is always best which includes, right eating habits, right exercise, and adequate rest with low-stress level.
