Adding Smiles Using Canines and a Feline

On July 2nd our Right at Home Community Liaison, Carmen Sanchez, joined by Right at Home East County San Diego owner, Melanie Delgado, and Sonata Hospice’s Community Education Liaison, Cesar Flores, attended the San Marcos 2020 Independence Day Pet Parade. The event took place at the Brookdale Assisted Living center and was sponsored by Brookdale Place of San Marcos and Oasis Senior Advisors. The purpose of the event was to bring some joy and entertainment to the residents of Brookdale since they have been stuck indoors for months due to COVID-19. Participants in the parade, along with their loyal companions, dressed in their best patriotic attire and walked through the community as the residents watched from the safety of their rooms. Right at Home was proud to participate in this wonderful event that presented the opportunity to spread happiness to the seniors of Brookdale during this difficult time.
