Christmas Merriment with Cook Elementary and Triad Seniors

The Reynolda Rotary Club has been partnering with Cook Elementary School since 2003. Over time, relationships have developed between the diverse groups of Rotary members, students, teachers and school administration, resulting in improved student self-confidence, test score gains, trust building and stereotype elimination. Greg and Jackie Brewer of Right at Home Piedmont Triad have been members of the Reynolda Rotary Club for many years. On December 16th, 2022 Greg Brewer, Agency Director, and Ashley Burrow, Community Relations Marketing Manager, served alongside other Rotary Club members at Cook Elementary School.

During their time at Cook Elementary School, Greg and Ashley had an opportunity to work with 5th grade students as they created Christmas cards for seniors and enjoyed a special Christmas snack. This was a win-win for our local seniors and the students of Cook Elementary School. Local seniors in the Triad will receive these Christmas cards through Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels program. In conjunction with that, students of Cook Elementary had a chance to hang out with Greg and Ashley and hear more about the scholarships available through the Reynolda Rotary Club and the opportunities available to them.

Right at Home Piedmont Triad’s mission is to improve the quality of life of those we serve. For us, this includes the clients and families we serve through Right at Home In-Home Care, and also the philanthropic opportunities serving our local communities.
