Parkinson's Moving Day 2022

On Sunday, May 22, 2022, Right at Home came together with members of our community to help raise awareness and funds for the Parkinson's Foundation. Parkinson's Moving Day features a family-friendly walk and showcases yoga, dancing, boxing, and other activities to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s. This year we were able to meet in person at Triad Park in Kernersville. Supporters from Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Kernersville, and the Piedmont Triad area gathered to help the Parkinson’s Foundation raise awareness and educate people about Parkinson's Disease.

This year we were honored to sponsor the team t-shirt contest. Participating teams submitted a t-shirt for the attendees to vote on. The winning team named, "Can't Stop, Won't Stop Crew" was there from Winston-Salem and Kernersville. They turned up in a big way to support their friend and family member who had recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. The winning team received a cash award from Right at Home to put towards their team fundraising goals.

The event raised $71,531 which will support funding for research, resources, and quality care to be delivered to people affected by Parkinson’s. Thank you to everyone that played a part in making this happen. Together, we made lives better for people living with Parkinson’s!
