Celebrating Our Amazing Caregivers on Professional Caregivers Week '23

Because You Care…

If asked to describe a caregiver in one word, these might come to mind: amazing, kind, compassionate, caring, selfless, impactful, and loving. Of course, this is just a small list compared to the abundance of ways caregivers show their support.

Right at Home celebrated Professional Caregivers Week Feb. 12-18 to coincide with National Caregivers Day, Feb. 17. Right at Home of the Piedmont Triad recognized its caregivers with gifts as a token of appreciation “because they care.”

“What caregivers do matters,” said Jackie Brewer, co-owner of Right at Home of the Piedmont Triad with her husband, Greg Brewer. “They are the heart of Right at Home and help thousands of families nationwide in our mission to improve their quality of life.”

Caregivers from the Piedmont Triad office received new Right at Home Caregiver canvas bags, lifesavers with a “you’re a lifesaver” tag, and hand sanitizers with a “hand’s down, you’re the best around” tag. Also, as part of the weeklong recognition, caregivers stopped by to partake in a candy station, filling their bags with various kinds of candy.

Caregivers are essential to Right at Home’s mission and, more importantly, the health and well-being of our community. Because of caregivers, people’s lives are easier and more joyful, and because they care, someone’s world is better.
