Albuquerque Caregiver Nominated for COTY

Congratulations David!

David was nominated as Caregiver of the Year in the Right at Home national franchise system and won our local office’s title of Caregiver of the Year. He was nominated along with over 400 caregivers nationwide and became 1 of 24 finalist as well as a regional finalist. David received testimonials and recommendations from the Albuquerque office staff as well as from several of his clients. The words used to describe David in the testimonials were “attentive, patient, caring, respectful, a faithful worker, and a God-send.”

David, a soldier in the US Army, came to caregiving in December of 2020 looking to connect with a different population than he had previously encountered. He has done just that! David seeks to make each visit with his clients a life changing moment. If he is not sitting bedside reading and singing to his medically fragile clients, you can find him taking in a baseball or community event with his other clients. David seeks to make each encounter and visit personal and unique. David’s heart and professionalism demonstrates what it means to be a caregiver: to put another’s needs above your own, to care for someone even when it’s not easy, and to strive to make a difference at every shift.
