Celebrating Professional Caregivers Week 2023

I am so excited to have been able to celebrate National Professional Caregivers week with our team. Our Meet & Greet Open House was a success in that we welcomed several caregivers into the office to show them our appreciation. We showered them with love, and they left with gifts in hand. The mission of Right at Home is to improve the lives of those we serve. It was an honor to be able to acknowledge and recognize the dedication our caregivers have shown in working with clients in the Anne Arundel County community.

Our Caregivers are represented in various nationalities, cultural backgrounds, some older, some younger. Some caregivers are soft spoken, yet a strong welcomed presence for their clients. Other caregivers get joy from making their clients laugh while others take pride in simply cooking a delicious meal. Some are requested to return after an extended break in service with a client because of the impact they made while initially providing care. Though all our Right at Home professional caregivers are different in their own unique ways, they are an exceptional group of individuals who have the heart that is required to display the honesty, kindness and compassion which are our core values in ensuring the clients' needs are met and they can maintain their independence right at home.

Like all of us, Caregivers are juggling everyday life challenges such as raising children, managing their own households, and tending to their own health needs while professionally caring for clients. The role of a caregiver can be tough physically, mentally, and emotionally. A 102-year-old client once told me “We should all strive to be a blessing to others so we may be blessed.” Caregivers are truly a blessing. We love our caregivers!
