Senior Transportation

Transportation, along with the assistance needed is only one of our many specialties.  Right at Home In-Home Care & Assistance can help seniors and the disabled with getting to important appointments, run errands and even take them to a special events like a wedding. We have helped some clients go to out of town weddings, as well as out of state.  We have even arranged carestaff to go on vacation to Florida with a client! Since we provide complete supportive living services, we do what is needed to help our client maintain life, as if they were on their own.

Transportation Options

For some clients, especially, those with dementia, getting out for drives in the country is  a feeling that gives them satisfaction beyond measure! We provide rides, along with stops for lunches and such to many clients, giving them fulfillment and satisfaction, which helps greatly with anxieties.

We can get them ready for the appointment and get them safely out of their house or wherever they call home. Our caregivers may go into the room with the client, if wanted and often are an “extra set of ears” to know what the doctor is saying.  Some seniors are anxious about getting out in the community with confidence and love the fact that a “friend” is accompanying them. Most of all, the feeling of being able to get out allows them the feeling of independence. Our caregivers are trained to get our clients safely in and out of the car, and to and from their travel destination and stay with them for the length of the appointment.

We also provide transportation to doctor appointments, eye exams, one day surgeries or procedures. Clients often have more limitations or may need more attention after an appointment and our carestaff do provide that.

There are also occasions in which we provide a short amount of care, after a procedure, and then the care is complete. We call these visits our “Peace of Mind” visits.

Whatever your needs, call to ask, as we look to provide complete supportive living services.

"They listen to what is going on and try to accommodate my needs. They have put me to bed and fed me. They put me to bed, feed me, do the wash, clean the kitchen, give me my pills, and take me places."

"I like the personal attention the directors Greg and Nance give. I couldn't get along without it. They provided the service I need. She does personal care, helps me get dressed, helps me take a shower, make the bed, take care of the kitchen and if necessary, and helps with things around the house. They always call me back and give me an answer to whatever I ask them. She is reliable and available when I need her. She has a pleasant manner."

"When I described the type of caregiver I need, they search through who they have to make the appropriate fit. They have made it so she is more independent. She has been able to live in an assisted living for longer than she would have been able to. They do physical transfers in and out of the wheelchair. They accompany her to activities. They reminisce with her. They are very communicative about who is coming. If there is a change in the schedule, they let me know. The owner will introduce the caregiver. They are very professional."
