The Press of Atlantic City Dementia Friendly City Article
An article in the The Press of Atlantic City featured one of our Right at Home Atlantic City office staff. Somers Point is the first “dementia friendly” city in New Jersey and Carolyn Peterson, director of marketing and community relations with Right at Home Atlantic County was a part of making it happen.
In the article, it discusses Carolyn working with others in the community to help provide support for the initiative. Examples of things that the Dementia Friendly Task Force would share with local businesses are also shared, such as that some people with dementia may have difficulty reading and a restroom sign should have a picture and not just words.
