Dementia Live® at Prospect House

DementiaLive® Presentation at Prospect House

Dementia is not something you can easily see, but it's something that affects countless family members and caregivers all over the world. That is why it is important that we all understand dementia from the “inside-out”. DementiaLive® Training immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory change.

Right at Home Boston and North recently presented DementiaLive® to 15 community health care professionals at the Prospect House, located in Revere. Prospect House is an assisted living, memory care and respite and rehabilitation community. Right at Home team members, Celeste Begley and Victoria Guskiewicz are certified DementiaLive® facilitators and presented the program on October 16th. Our audience included registered nurses, social workers and case managers in the Greater Boston Area from hospitals, rehabs and skilled nursing facilities.

“We are so thankful for the opportunity to bring dementia understanding and awareness to the community!”, said Celeste Begley, Community Relations Director.

When people hear the word “dementia,” it is easy to jump to conclusions about what it is. However, many people do not fully understand what dementia actually is and how it affects people until they have experienced it for themselves. That's why the DementiaLive® Training is so powerful and equipping people around the world with knowledge and understanding. For more information about this program, please contact Victoria Guskiewicz, Community Relations Coordinator at Right at Home Boston and North to schedule a training with your team, 781-568-0623 or email at vguskiewicz@rightathomemass.com.
