Northeast Region Caregiver of the Year
And the winner is…..David Alan!
David was selected as the Northeast Region Caregiver of the Year. The Caregiver of the Year Award program at Right at Home celebrates the accomplishments of a select group of caregivers. Qualifications for Caregiver of the Year include being passionate about providing excellent care to clients, selflessly and professionally serving others while being a motivating team player. Top caregivers are nominated and judged based on the following criteria: character, client impact, brand ambassadorship, team spirit and professional development. Our office nominated David based on his abilities as a caregiver. David received testimonials from past and current clients, loved ones and co-workers.
“David is an outstanding caregiver who works tirelessly to improve the quality of life of those who he serves,” Rosaleen Doherty CEO/Co-Owner Right at Home Boston and North. “He demonstrates teamwork and willingness to help other caregivers and staff. He selflessly serves others in the course of their duties. In addition, he holds others to a higher standard of care.”
Alan’s success comes from the lessons he learned decades ago, caring for his own grandfather. “I am truly honored and pleased to be named the North East Regional Caregiver of the Year,” Allen said shortly after hearing of the honor. “I am very thankful for this award, for my clients, and to be part of the Right at Home team.”
"Our caregivers are the cornerstone of our business, and each of them has the power to change a life and make someone's life better," explains Jay Kenney, co-owner of Right at Home Boston North.
David has a positive outlook on life, and helping others is ingrained in who he is as a person. When he works with a client, he becomes personally invested in their well-being and gives them his all. For example, David was taking care of a client who was recovering an illness. To better connect, David asked the client about their story. The client became interested in this, and they quickly grew a strong rapport. The comfort, and caring attention David provided to his client gave the client the strength and motivation to recover and get well. This is just one of many examples of David’s outstanding abilities as a caregiver.
Our celebratory dinner will be Monday, March 11th at a local restaurant in Peabody with our winner, David, our RightTeam staff and Right at Home Boston North owners.
“Way to go David! We are truly honored to have you part of our CareTeam, your abilities, positive attitude and your team spirit make you a shining star, thank you for all you do for our clients and families each and every day!” said Victoria Guskiewicz, Community Relations Coordinator.
