As overwhelming as it can be for dementia caregivers, winter presents special challenges that can affect a loved ones emotional well-being. Getting safely out for appointments, dealing with increased fall risks and overcoming isolation can be daunting when added to the daily hurdles of round the clock care. Celeste Begley, CCM, CDP and Victoria Guskiewicz, MS, CCM with Right at Home Boston North will address a range of cold weather challenges and offer concrete recommendations for protecting a loved one with dementia during the cold winter months.
