Honoring Kindness: The Kathleen Malloy Award 2024

At Right at Home, we believe in celebrating the extraordinary qualities that make our caregivers truly special. Earlier this year, we were proud to present the Kathleen Malloy Kindness Award to Martha Macauley, a caregiver who embodies the compassion and dedication that Kathleen Malloy, our beloved Marketing Manager, was known for.

Remembering Kathleen Malloy

The Kathleen Malloy Kindness Award was established in 2019, following the passing of Kathleen Malloy due to ALS. Kathleen was more than just a marketer; she was a beacon of kindness and positivity within our Right at Home family. To honor her memory and keep her spirit alive, we created this award to recognize caregivers who demonstrate the same beautiful qualities Kathleen possessed.

Celebrating Martha Macauley

This year, the award goes to Martha Macauley, a caregiver who has shown exceptional kindness and dedication. Martha’s commitment to her clients, including her work with Francis, an Air Force veteran, has been truly inspiring. Her ability to provide compassionate care and support reflects the very essence of what this award stands for.

A Special Presentation

The award ceremony was a heartfelt occasion. Denise presented Martha with the award at our office, celebrating her achievements and dedication. Following the office ceremony, they visited Kathleen’s mother to present her with flowers, a gesture that added a personal and touching element to the event. Martha also received a plaque that lists all the recipients of the Kathleen Malloy Kindness Award, a testament to the ongoing legacy of kindness that Kathleen left behind.

Continuing the Legacy

The Kathleen Malloy Kindness Award is more than just an accolade; it is a reminder of the impact that one person’s kindness can have on an entire community. We are honored to have caregivers like Martha who continue to uphold the values that Kathleen cherished. As we look forward to future recipients, we remain committed to celebrating the extraordinary acts of kindness that make our Right at Home family so special.

Thank you, Martha, for your unwavering dedication and for keeping Kathleen’s spirit alive through your compassionate care. You truly exemplify the heart and soul of Right at Home.

If you have any questions or would like to share your thoughts, please feel free to reach out. Let’s continue to honor and celebrate the kindness that makes our community strong.
