Julie Burket, owner of Right at Home In Home Care of Central Oregon, currently serves as President of the Central Oregon Parkinson’s Council COPC). A member of the council since 2014, she is also the Bend, Oregon Facilitator for the Parkinson's Support Group.

COPC was established in 2012  to bring awareness and resources to people with Parkinson's throughout Central Oregon. Julie's work in the Parkinson's community has been instrumental in growing the Central Oregon support groups and events. She also spearheaded creating a website for COPC, which has mainstreamed the activities, information and resources for Central Oregonians.

COPC is comprised of business leaders, community volunteers, and several members who suffer from Parkinson’s Disease. Although the council is independent, it is under the guidance and supervision of Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon, (PRO) in Portland, Oregon.Parkinson's Support Group

COPC continues to bring educational seminars to the region, with special presenters such as Neurologist Dr. Michael Bell, from Neurological Associates in Bend, and Dr. Nutt from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.
