About Me:
Hi, my name is Jerdelvia Greathause and I have lived in Warrensville Hts. for a couple of years. One of the nice things about our city is that we have a tremendous regard for our seniors and their safety. Our police and firefighters can often be found organizing gatherings for the elderly to teach about fall prevention and visiting homes to check smoke detectors.
Senior Living Options:
The Avenue Care and Rehab Center has invested in special technology to ensure accuracy when dispensing medicine. Altercare at St. Joseph is known for its caring priest and well appointed chapel which sets it apart from other excellent nursing homes in the area. In addition, they can offer the full continuum of care because Altercare has independent and assisted living apartments. Regency Hospital- Cleveland East is a post-acute hospital specializing in wound care and weaning their patients off of a ventilator.

Restaurants:
Some of my favorite places to eat are Gyro George, Abuelos and JACK’S Thistledown Racino where I enjoy the buffet after playing bingo. At Gyro George, I always enjoy the steak and eggs platter. A favorite from Abuelos is pork abrigada wrapped in hickory smoked bacon, but I also enjoy tilapia veracruz.
Drool over some of the delicious dips from Abuelos Restaurant!
Wellness:
The Warrensville Hts. Senior Center boasts caring staff and many fun activities. Perhaps you would like to join a trip with the senior center and go to the zoo or Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Spinning classes at the senior center are always a blast. One of our city’s top prosthetic craftsmen works at Bright Prosthetics working to create artificial limbs. The staff at Bright Prosthetics also offer a monthly gait walk-in clinic. Dr. Agarwal at South Pointe hospital is a internal medicine doctor is quite knowledgeable and friendly. McGregor’s Pace program offers adult day care and socialization to those 55 years of age and older along with lunch.
Charities:
Warrensville Hts. is known for a number of unique and outstanding charities ranging from In Motion Parkinson's Gym and Clubhouse to Milestones Autism resource Center. The NCJW loves to support the Operation Warmup and distributes winter clothing to those in need during the Homeless Stand Down.
