Caregiver Recognition

At Right at Home Cleveland, Right Care starts with the Right People. Our mission is "To Improve the Quality of Life for Those We Serve." We couldn't do that without the heart and skill of our caregivers. Our exceptional caregivers provide the assistance to the ladies and gentlemen we serve that enables them to live with dignity, comfort and independence in their homes. Our caregivers are the ones who are out in our community, making a difference, enriching and improving the quality of life for our ladies and gentlemen and providing peace of mind to their families.

Congrats and Thank You to All of Our Caregivers!

Right at Home Cleveland caregivers go above and beyond when caring for our clients. We want to showcase those individuals and let them know just how much they are appreciated. Nedra Moore

August Caregiver of the Month

For August we have selected Nedra Moore as the employee of the month. Nedra is a very loving person, friendly to everyone she is around always willing to help, goes above and beyond, she is honest, and always smiling, her clients speak highly about her. Her client’s love her and appreciate her care. Nedra is very involved with her church, fast learner and learned how to do a bed bath, use a Hoyer lift, and just continues to want to grow in her role as a Home Health Aide. Nedra does not call off. Nedra got started in homecare having very little experience. When she came in for an interview Nedra stated, "I’m a fast learner if you show me I can do it."  Sure enough Nedra learned how to do a bed bath, use a Hoyer Lift, etc. Nedra has been with Right at Home for a little over a year now and she keeps smiling and willing to help out as much as she can. This is why we chose Nedra Moore as our employee of the month.

Vanessa Ford Williams

June Caregiver of the Month

We are excited to announce June’s caregiver of the Month. Vanessa Ford-Williams joined Right at Home in 2020. Vanessa’s brother has been working at Right at Home for the past seven years and highly recommended his siter because she is so caring. Vanessa quickly stood out on her own merits and clearly has a passion for her clients. Vanessa has the heart of a caregiver, not just for seniors, but for everyone she meets. Her client’s family recently remarked how caring, organized and thoughtful Vanessa is. Her client always asks for her by name and misses Vanessa on the days she is not scheduled to work. Sadly, this past March, Vanessa lost her husband, and she redoubled her efforts in caring for her clients as she mourns her husband’s passing. Vanessa loves being there for those who can’t do for themselves. Congratulations Vanessa!

Flora

May Caregiver of the Month

Our caregiver of the month for May is Flora. She has such a beautiful soul and true passion to take care of anyone. She grew up taking care of family members or anyone she could in her 20’s. When in orientation class she told a story about taking care of her brother and sister. She said her brother has a disability from serving in The United States Navy. Her brother is a Navy Seal and was aboard the USS Intrepid. He has anxiety, PTSD, Dementia, hallucinates and has bad night terrors. Flora then gained control of her brother. She said she does everything for him. Flora does all of his ADL’s shops for him and always there for what ever he needs. Flora also has a 80 year old sister that she also looks after. She served in the Army. Sadly she was raped. And ended up with a plate in her head. Flora said her sister is doing excellent at the moment She also is taking care of her 4 grandchildren and has custody of them as they were not receiving the proper care that they needed. Flora was born in Cleveland, but her mother would always send her and her siblings to Chattanooga Tennessee. Flora is always on the go and always wearing a smile on her face. I chose Flora as caregiver of the month because she is approachable, accountable and has a bunch of empathy. I would trust Flora to help one of my loved ones if ever needed. Flora would like to start a business with owning a home to help with Veteran’s that have no help.

Susan Amor

April Caregiver of the Month

Susan was chosen to be Caregiver of the month due to her being an awesome employee. She never has any complaints, helps pick up shifts when we are in a bind and never says no! She has a wonderful personality. Susan is liked by all client’s she has worked for in such a short amount of time being with Right at Home. I get calls about clients asking if she is available for fill in’s. So, again, Susan was chosen to be Caregiver of the month because she is so Awesome!

Susan is from Chagrin Falls. When she first started she only had a client a few times a week 4 hours per shift and she would drive a little ways to get to her client. She didn’t complain that it was too far. She showed that she wanted to work. I then was able to find her 2 additional clients to keep her at full time status. She was very appreciative that she got to work more hours and that she can help make a difference in someone life.

Susan started out young taking care of her grandmother and then her grandmother passed away. Susan missed her grandmother so much she then thought that she could help others as it reminded her of taking care of her grandmother. She started out in nursing homes because most patients in a nursing home do not have family, and she always thought of her grandmother while caring for each or her patients.
