Fighting the COVID Blues
Going to the Park for a BYOC Picnic
Almost half of adults in the United States, 45 percent, say that worry and stress related to the coronavirus and the resulting economic downturn are hurting their mental health, according to a study by the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Kathy Clein, Social Worker at The Daniel P. Seink ElderCare law firm, is wearing her blues to fight the Covid Blues.
How do we cope with the ongoing uncertainty? We take it one day at a time, and support each other. Today we went to the park. We joined our colleagues from the Senior Care, PNG Professional Networking Group, for a socially distant BYOC, “bring your own chair” picnic. It was simple, uplifting, fellowship, held under bright blue skies. We modeled our face masks and shared best practices around keeping ourselves and our clients and residents safe during the pandemic.
How are you coping and supporting your loved ones thru the COVID-19 Pandemic?
Please email your suggestions to me at shalom@ohioseniorcare.net and I’ll share them during the zoom classes and discussions I’ve been hosting. And stay safe my friends.
