The program begins with a welcome to the "Gates of Hope" synagogue with Shalom Plotkin, an overview of Judaism, and an introduction to the Holocaust with Louise Frielich . We will divide into docent led groups to tour the museum and have an opportunity to ask questions following the personal testimony of the Holocaust survivor, Nina Frankel.

Interactive Program over lunch discussing Caring for the Victims of Trauma led by Irene Marocco, LSW will follow.

Cleveland State University registration fee for 2 CE's for social workers counselors and psychologists - $79. Scholarships.

Nina Frankel- Bio: Nina, a Holocaust Survivor was born in small town in Poland in 1926.  She is the sole survivor of her family having survived several labor camps, a ghetto, being buried alive in a mass grave, a concentration camp, 4 months of hiding in a bunker at a Christian friend’s house, and 11 months of hiding in another very small bunker during the Holocaust.  Mrs. Frankel immigrated to the United States in 1949. She shares her Holocaust story and experience with trauma with students of various ages.
